MOMMY'S REVIEW:

Rating: 5 out 5 Stars, July 2004 I have been pregnant once (so far!) and this was a wonderful book to have through my pregnancy. It became a ritual for the hubby and I to begin the week by reading about what going on with the baby and what we should expect. The book is detailed and provides lots of information not just about the baby but also for mom, dad, family and friends. Common pregnancy occurrences (like the linea negra) would take me by surprise and cause me to worry. Then we would read the next week's chapter and just about every time we found an explanation in the book. We learned to read ahead because the book just about covered everything. I honestly don't know what we would have done without this book - my stress levels would have been through the roof and we would have had to pay for some unnecessary middle-of-the-night ER visits! I think it should be required that all women be given this book at the beginning of pregnancy or when they plan for pregnancy. I know I will need to purchase another one if we try again because my last one got borrowed out so many times I've lost track of it.
